About Cornerstone Mortgage Group

Chad and Stewart were roommates at The University of Georgia where Stewart received a Bachelors in Management Information Systems and Chad graduated with a Bachelors of Business in Risk Management and Insurance. After college, they went different ways in their careers. Stewart started out as an IT consultant for Accenture. After working his way up to a management role, he was looking for his next challenge and a career change. Meanwhile, Chad was already working in the mortgage industry. He loved the work but didn’t like the way his company did business. Over a several month period, Chad met with Stewart on a regular basis and eventually convinced him this was the industry for him. In 2006, they took the leap and opened Cornerstone Mortgage Group out of Chad's basement.  From day one, they have strived to offer the best possible 'raving fan' customer service. Even during the crash in 2009 and 2010, they were able to excel solely based on their customer service driven strategy. Fast forward to 2022, we have 45 employees and were able to help over 2000 families last year. We would love to show you the Cornerstone difference. Come be a part of our family.
